This is a simple internet connected device that sends analogue values from a potentiometer to the internet. In this case it’s the live data service COSM.
This allows me to test real live internet based data. Since live data is…well, live it is most unpredictable. How then does one test their products effectively? The answer lies in your hands, you make it.
I laser cut the front panel to attach to an off the shelf ABS enclosure. The illuminated LED button was from ebay the the electric imp and April breakout board were casualties from the Ultrasound Powered Asteroid.
